I should be working.

You see, we are having a party at our house tomorrow night. A little shin-dig for our sweet AggieSarah who is getting her Aggie Ring tomorrow. If I were an Aggie it would be appropriate to whoop at this point. But I'm not.....you can, though!

We tend to let things slide from day to day, so there is nothing like 25 people you don't really know coming to your house to get you in the sprucing up mood! It will be fun and I am so proud of Sarah!

On another note I have been hit hard by medical news this week. Another reminder that I am, indeed, a grown-up. One of #1's former teachers and just a sweet sweet woman has cancer. Full blown, stage IV, to the bones breast cancer. It simply breaks my heart. I spent all of Monday in tears thinking of this dear family and of the possible outcomes. I am praying for a miracle and for complete healing. And for strength and endurance in the meantime.

My husband's dentist's 14 yr old son had a tumor removed from his spine last week. The biopsy results came back and they weren't good. I can't even let my imagination go there.

A friend from Sunday School was diagnosed with MS this week. She might be just a few years older than me, but not much. She has three good looking boys and a good looking husband to match. I don't know many details and I am thankful that there wasn't something fatally wrong with her. However, it is a life time disease and as I have heard my friend Becky struggle alongside her sister, it is not an easy illness.

All this to say, we are blessed. I know God never promises good health. And I realize that often during our darkest, hardest moments is when we see His face the clearest. However, it is so hard. Just really hard.

I hope you have had better news this week.

Happy Thursday~

I am so sorry to hear about all of your bad news. I also had heard about the dentist's son. I use to go to his office a few years ago. It is very tragic and hard to understand.

I am so sad to hear about our mutual friend's cancer....breaks my heart. If there is a fundraiser or anything, please let me know. Is it well known enough now to send that person a card? I didn't want to until I knew it was ok to or not.

That does sound like a tough week. :(

I found out today that a girl I sit next to in one of my classes had a brain aneurysm last night...they don't know if she'll make it. It's easy to read things in the paper or hear second-hand stories about people that are sick without getting upset. But when people we know are affected, it all hits home.

It's so hard sometimes to carry one another's burdens. However, that is what Christ calls us to do. "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Gal. 6:2
What would any of us do without the body of Christ to help us?!
Your tender spirit is so neccesary and vital to the body.........I know God will strengthen you to help others endure.

News like that puts everything in perspective. I'll pray for those you mentioned.

I am not sure who the anon. comment up there was from, but it seemed like many people knew some or most of the story on Monday. I am still waiting for the full details from the horse's mouth.
