Do you know there are differences between boys and girls? Those of you parents out there are already laughing. My degree is in Child Development and I graduated in the late nineties from that rather liberal school in Austin. The theories that were prevalent at the time(and still are) included fair play between the sexes, give boys dolls and girls trucks, etc. I fell for it all, hook, line and sinker. I thought that girls could do anything boys could and that they should. While I still believe there is no barrier between the sexes I now believe God has created male and female very different and for very different purposes.

Good thing I already believed that.

Last night this was illustrated to the point of hilarity at the BrickHaus. We were having family movie night. This involves lots of pillows and blankets and the guise of staying up late. We watched Charlotte's Web. {spoiler alert} Near the end Charlotte dies. My sweet #1, who happens to be female, was sobbing. She went on and on and on. Real tears. Real sadness. Meanwhile, my #2, who is male, keeps repeating "when are we going to see Charlotte die?" and "I want to see Charlotte die."

That, right there my friends, is how boys and girls are different!
