Today is Thursday, January 7, 2009. On Friday, January 7, 2000 I practiced walking down the aisle. I was wearing a red shirt, black sweater and black pants. We had to practice the kiss at the end two times.
It was my wedding rehearsal!
Mr Brick and I were married on January 8, 2000.
T.E.N. years ago. I love that we were married in 2000 so that we will quickly recall how many years we have been married. When we started dating in 1994 I remember thinking that when we are still together when I am 32 I will have been with the mister for half my life.
I am 32.
I vaguely remember life without the mister. We have grown up together and been through college and law school, babies, family members' deaths, jobs, many changes.
There is no one I'd rather have by my side. Both today, the last 16 years, and the many many years to come.
And for that I am thankful.
