For my #1's 6th birthday we decided to have a Girl's Night Out instead of a traditional party.
She and I dressed up and we headed out on the town. We left Mr. Brick and the younger two to man the fort.
First we picked up two of her dear friends from kindergarten. C and E were equally excited to celebrate #1's special day.
We ate at a hibachi grill, but I think their favorite part was ordering pepsi - go figure! All three were under the table in record time once the flames started!
Next stop - the mall for some dazzling clip on earrings!
Of course- all princesses need major bling!It was a very special night and I am so thankful I was able to witness the camaraderie between my daughter and her friends. They were silly, respectful, sweet, secretive, indecisive and affectionate. Listening to them giggle and whisper in the back seat made me realize how fast they are growing up. I want to always be the mom that my children's friends want to be with. I pray that our family is a safe haven and a strong witness to the love we feel and have to share!

Reading about Bean and her friends made me think of you, Ang and I and the time we spend together. I am so glad that we have each other and that she is starting to form those friendships too. How cool. How very cool. (And no, I am not crying right now. Not even a little.)

Hope she had a special b-day? They were so precious when we saw you guys out...so was ear piercing ruled out?
How fun! I can't wait for all of that with my girl!! I go each year with my friend Shannon for her daughter's birthday outings! It's pretty interesting with a group of 9 and 10 yr. old girls! Very fun!!
