A Thirty-onederful Day!

My birthday was bliss. A really fabulous day. It started the night before with a fun Supper Club. We had a full house plus two evacuees. Mr. Brick and my two big kiddos made me a scrumptious cookie cake - 1/2 peanut butter and 1/2 chocolate chip. I am having the remnants with my coffee for breakfast this morning.

On Tuesday morning I woke early for coffee and quiet time then walked my kindergartner to school in the glorious post-Ike weather. After a quick jaunt to the pediatrician's office {some things never change} and to work I had a sweet lunch with Mr. Brick and #2. A relaxing afternoon spent with the crossword puzzle followed.

For dinner we went to a yummy restaurant and I ate fish tacos, one of my favorite things. We moved out to the patio and I opened a few gifts and drank coffee. Again in the incredible weather.

After getting the kids in bed I headed out again to meet the ladies in my new Bible study group. I was fairly nervous before hand for two reasons: A) I only knew one other woman and B) we are studying a book entitled The Excellent Wife, which I know will teach me TONS. And I will no longer be able to feign ignorance with some of these Biblical truths regarding my place in the family. It is a small group of ladies and I think it is going to be a great study. We will meet in the evenings, after kiddo bed time which fits my schedule so well these days.

Yep, it was a wonderful birthday. Thank you for all the well wishes!!

Happy Thursday~

I had your birthdy on the calendar not sure what happened but I forgot I remember the day you were born. So happy belated birthday, enjoy. When I was 31 I had Angela and at the time I was considered a very old mother.

So glad you had a great birthday!! "Excellent Wife" is a great Bible study. I know you will get so much from it and enjoy getting to know some new ladies. I did that one almost 4 years ago now and probably need to revisit a few of those topics.:)
