I must be feeling better -

I have decided to do one hundred push ups
after reading Kat's blog. Maybe these will tone my arms and get me ready for that bridesmaid dress that has yet to make an appearance. I did the initial test and was able to do 10 girly pushups with my nose hitting the ground. I think the key is to suck in my gut so that my nose actually hits before my belly!

Doing the yoga/pilates move 'the bridge' helps a lot with these. You get on your hands and toes like you're going to do a push up and you flatten out your back and you stay like that for a count to ten or whatever. I was told in a class that you have to build your core first and that helps. I'm such an expert you know;-)
Love you! S.

Okay... I'm in with you! You did your initial test girly style? Are you doing the "program" girly style too? I have always had push ups as a key exercise in my programs over the years but I'm back to square one now. I've always done girly style but would love to really be able to pump out 100 (or even 25, really) nose and toes push ups... Hmmmmm... Have you talked Mr. Brick into joining with you? I'll be talking smack to ol' Vinny this afternoon to see if I can get him fired up and on board too. You should post this on weigh to go. I think everyone needs a refresher/motivater to get going again! I'm pumped... headed to do day one now! ;-)

Just tried the initial test nose and toes style... um, I think I'll stick with girly style! If I get to six weeks/100 push ups/girly style, I'll go back through it again nose and toes. Like I said... square one. How depressing!

100 push-ups...all at one time?! I can do 3 sets of eight(girly-style), and I'm in major pain the next day! and I can't get my nose to the ground! I wish you luck...I'm so impressed by your perseverance(sp?). Keep up the good work!
