No pictures, though.....

We had dinner guests. This isn't that unusual, I love having people over. Thankfully, I am not one to stress over dust bunnies or fancy food. I am just happy sharing life and hanging out.

One of my best friends from high school and her husband and baby moved back to town last week. I stopped by their house this afternoon and we got to visit for awhile. Then when I returned home I noticed Mr. Brick had quite a bit of meat defrosted for just the two of us. So I called and invited the Hawkins' over. They accepted. And they brought shrimp!

I don't think the food was anything to get excited about. Except those shrimp. Now they were good! But the visit was great. It was genuine. And comfortable. And fun, I think. My #2 is quite the ham. After warming up he put on a show!

Singing and yoga included, no extra charge.

It is amazing to me. That instead of carpooling and singing 9-5 we are comparing formula types and bouncy seats. Rather than preparing for ski trips we are trading sleep secrets. Yet we still laughed and laughed and hugged good bye.

Some things never change.

I am glad you are back, Beth!

jamee, I wish you could write your own newspaper column. Just a small, everday, newspaper column about life and it's quirks. I think you would have a good following. You are a good writer. P.S. welcome home Beth.
Love,
