Sunday Sermon

Do you ever read something, maybe just a few short paragraphs and it fundamentally changes the way you think about something? A friend of mine posted a note on facebook about being thankful. She decided to change her negative thinking to the positive. A little spin, if you will.

I decided to do the same.

*Instead of groaning when my alarm goes off at 5:30, I will be grateful I've been given another day.

*Instead of cringing the 100th time my daughter says Moooom, I will be grateful she is healthy and strong and with me.

*Instead of griping about my husband working late, I will be grateful he has a job that supports us.

*Instead of complaining about my lack of alone time with my husband, I will be grateful we have a family.

*Instead of wishing I had more money to spend on clothes, I will be grateful for the full closet I have.

*Instead of dreading planning lessons each week, I will be grateful for the opportunity to touch little hearts and plant the seed of Love.

*Instead of twitching each time my children intentionally bug each other, I will be grateful I have three babes that will be there for each other.

*Instead of worrying about what may come, I will be grateful for my Saviour and remember that the Good Guy wins.
