Proverbial Hamster Wheel

and I can't seem to get off. I will be staying home again today with #3 who, as of yesterday, was still running 101.0 fever. She has her first ear infections and is handling them better than I am. We have been home all week and I tend to get grumpy. I guess it happens on day 3 because I woke up grumpy this morning.

That might also have something to do with the local elections yesterday. The candidate we were campaiging for lost. Not only did he lose, it was a landslide. I figured it would be much closer. And though I am okay with the fact that the other person won, I am disappointed.

I spoke with the winner's wife yesterday, hours before election returns were in. While we aren't really friends our mothers worked together for years and years and years. And after my few short conversations with this woman I wish we WERE friends. Yesterday as I was wishing her luck a few tears streamed down her face. She opened up and let me me know just how hard this whole thing has been. And I realized again that there is always a winner and a loser in contests such as these. And I hate that it has to be that way.

I know it is my soft heart, but that is one reason I don't get too involved in sporting events. I always feel bad for the team that loses. They played hard, too!

Yep, I am officially a dork. And I have laundry up to my ears. And no more hot coffee. And a broken toe, still. Hopefully the sun will burn these grumps off soon.

And until then I will keep spinning on my wheel.

Happy Wednesday~

AH! I am soooooo the same way! I hate that there has to be a loser! I love sports but find that in most cases, I switch back and forth and just end up rooting for everyone. Especially when they show all those interviews before the game and you get to see a personal side to the players. I'm a dork too. Atleast we're not alone!

You're such a sweetheart! I love that about you Jamee Brick. Your heart is tender and so loving and that makes you a wonderful person and a loving person - not a dork. Take heart my friend - spring is here, the weather is all messed up but there is alot to look forward to.

All my love,
Laura P
